Yeah I know...I was already mentioning that in an earler post, about a promo peice.
Truthfully, after seeing a large number of them entered in a recent competition, I'd liketo point out that paper is not suited to all prints, but once you find the right print, POW, the images will jump right off the page at you!.
Get them laminated, and hung, with two lights at 45 degrees (eight feet back set to a brightness equal to iso 100 f8 1/2 sec) and see it the way a judge might see it!

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I recently made a few images of a building which has a very strange coating on the windows. The colour of the glass varies by time of day and time of year.
I drove past the building at about 7pm and the light was just beautifull. So these images allready had some metallic looking objects in them and suited the paper very good.
The only problem was to get the captured colours somewhat inside the gamut of the printing lab, those metallic coatings on glass can result in a lot of weird colours.

I first saw the Metallic paper in the Philppines at least three years ago at a meeting of Cebu Images Camera Club; they seem to get things there quicker than we get them in the UK ! I tried to get cut sheets of it to use it in my Nova 16x12" processor with RA4 chemicals but Kodak will not sell it in cut sheets, only expensive rolls for machines.
Been a member of Pentax Club since the Ron Spillman era! Got COMPUTERISED at last - DIGITISED?

I just got some enlargments back from the lab on this paper.
sized from 30 to 40 inches.
That promo peice I was working on and had posted for critiques turned out stunning...the copper tones really worked with this printing process.
I also printed some other samples from that same photoshoot, including a brightly colored shot of the toddler in the metal tub, and another shot made b&w.
On our way home from the lab, we stopped for a coffee, at a nice place we frequent, and opened up the giant packages, and were mobbed, by onlookers who happily took our cards...

This stuff is really great. Metallic objects look very real on this paper.
It is not cheap, but the effect is very nice. I have allso read that B&W images look especially good on this paper.
