Lovely set all round but number 4 is my favourite. I'm hopeless at snapping people and am very impressed by this selection.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

A lovely set, quite unaffected. I'm with Gareth as to the "best" with the addition of the last one which is a classy shot. Monochrome makes good portraits even more special.
Best wishes,
Andrew

This is a wonderful set.
#1 Number one is priceless. I love the true capture of the human emotions. Children do this better then any adult. They are so uninhibited. Number one has fantastic impact for the viewer. It brings delight, amusement, and the pure joy of childhood. In my opinion it a lovely capture.
#2. The seven year old and the missing teeth. Again it a nice capture, a picture for the family scrapbook. I often am gravitated toward pictures of children where they are not smiling, because they have been told to do so. She is a darling.
#3 Brother and sister pose is sweet and I love the way the little sister is looking off verses the young man looking right at you.
#4 This is another winner. This photograph draws you in for a deeper look. The child eyes seem so tact sharp that her look hold ones attention, again lending itself to emotion. Nice work here!
#5 She has wonderful life and lights in her eyes. Her pleased look, or smug look makes one grin back. I am sure this picture will be cherished for a long time.
#6 Not as capturing as the others, I found the shadows on her face distracting and I found her pose to be a bit un-natural like, as well as her back too dark.
#7 This was not my favorite either. I thought it looked too posed and not very natural either. it looked like something you might pose for teenagers .
Please, this is just my own opinions I hope it's been a help to you to see an others view

Thanks for the opinions, all of which are received with gratitude. Another perspective is always valuable. I tend to get bored very quickly with my own photos, but number 4 is a rarity of one of my own photos that I actually really like, so I'm glad others do too. I was a bit unsure of the white vignette, which I very rarely use but thought it suited this one. I take the points about the ones which look posed although only the last one actually is. The penultimate was my daughter dancing around in the garden to that dreadful Shakira waka waka Africa song.

No 4 is the winner here for me, although I am curious what it was like in colour. Do youget more diferentaition between the wall girl and the door in colour.

Congrats Dr O!
I think I might have cloned out the shiny hair clip in No 4, but, as has been said above, a lovely set of images.
