Isn't it odd that Pentax charges more for a camera that has a bit missing? Still the great unanswered question though - K-5 II or IIs?
Did they have to remove the AA filter, hence incurring additional labour charges, or did they just not put it in in the first place. If the latter, the K5IIS ought to be cheaper, surely.

I would think the sensor came with the aa filter attached, which they then had to remove, making it a premium product which attracts a higher price.

I've been comparing the studio test images on DPREVIEW of the three K5 cameras. The K5IIs images do seem a little sharper than the other two, but as it's £130.oo more expensive (SRS) I think I'll go for a K5II.
It's the AF improvements in low light that I'm interested in. If it proves to be as good as people say, I'll have wasted £800.00 on a Sigma 70-200mm lens when the DA* 60-250mm 1:4 I already had would do nicely.
