I do feel like a change though,Nikon have some interesting stuff out now, you know that saying "A change is as good as a rest", if I do sell it will be on e-bay as LCE, and the others give you pennies for your hard earned gear.

the US MSRP is $1500. If this follows through with the exchange rates...

This seems to bear out, even including VAT rates. I got quoted just over €1200 last week.
I think it will be a while before this one drops, and it probably won't be before christmas.

Bear in mind the $:Yen has crashed to a 15-year low so don't track the quoted prices in dollars too closely.
Still shooting in the dark (literally and metaphorically)...

Just so you know, over on some french forums, there is a buy-in-group offer by Phox Massy at 999€ with a further 100€ rebate, so the K5 (body only) is actually at 899€ ...
It's a no-brainer for me... Well, I just have to convince my ministry of finance ...
