K5 or Kr
The k-7 certainly does not sound like a gun going off!
The person who wrote that review must have sensitive hearing!

As you point out though, Pentaxophile, the noise control won't be upto today's standard so I think I'll pass over the K7.
The K10D now that one has a click, sound like a Kalashnikov.

The K7 and K5 are much more refined.
here is the k10D

and here is the K7 vs D3

The K7 is almost the same as the K5 in terms of features and handeling.
The biggest point the K5 has is the far better sensor.
Also the sensor in the Kr is better than the k7 at some points for example high iso but with low ISO the K7 is better.
So if you shoot landscapes or in the studio for example, the K7 is the one you want actually over the Kr, for concert and sport the Kr might be better.

Right, the choice has been made and when the redundancy payment comes I will be getting:
K5 body
Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG HSM II Macro Lens
Sigma 150-500mm F5.6-6.3 DG OS HSM Lens (if funds allow)
Metz Mecablitz 50 AF-1 Digital Flash
Thank you all so much for your advice, comments and tips. I'm much obliged to you for taking the time to help me out.
