K5 II Preview / Playback not working

Hi All,

Hoping to get some advice re an intermittent fault on my K5II which for some reason on occasion refuses to show images when the playback button is pressed. I have alternatively tried removing and replacing the battery which did resolve the problem once but has so far failed to work again. I have also tried different SD cards but the fault persists. The images are definitely on the card as I can view them on my laptop but the K5II refuses to display them on the LCD. I have also tried a factory reset to no avail.

The camera is thankfully still under warranty with SRS but I was hoping someone on the forum might have a solution or at least knowledge of this fault.

To clarify, once having taken a photo, the image is shown on the LCD screen but after the preview time of 5 seconds I can no longer access the image.

I doubt this would be a battery problem and as long as the images are on the SD card - not an SD card issue either.

There is no menu function to switch off playback (as far as I know) so sounds like you will need to contact SRS. It is not the first timer I have read of this happening.

Many thanks for the response, it is good to know I am not the first to experience this problem. Just 30 mins ago, I switched on the camera and all was fine and I could review my images on the card and then for no apparent reason the playback button refused to work - seems I will be contacting SRS for warranty advice.
