If you have a tablet or smartphone that you do carry with you, just load the .pdf file on it.

It would have been more polite simply to write "Thanks MrB".

Algernon how rude, punctuation is one thing manners is another.

That's odd, I didn't read Algernon's comment as rude, but simply him pointing out a truth: punctuation, grammar and spelling do matter.

It's actually quite disrespectful, as well as unhelpful, when photographers offer posts to which little thought has been given to literary conventions. One of the pleasures of this forum is the generally erudite nature of the comments.

Yes, like many things in life it can be those presentational details that make the difference to how well you are perceived, and how seriously you are taken.

stub62, I know you may well have 'sodded off' (I do hope not) .. but you could have made less of a hash of all this ... a simple thanks for the various pieces of advice that were given would have gone a long way, as would showing that you had actually made use of the advice.

So what we are trying to say is that we have to be well educated to enjoy the art of photography, that one post is not only truly offensive, but totally blinkered to the world around you.

I have family members who enjoy photography but also have learning difficulties, they can read, they can write but not to the expected standards of some members on this site, So what should they do, hang up the cameras, not join in forums, not reach out and ask for help.

I am truly, truly offended and disgusted by the comments made by long time and maybe long in the tooth members, I currently volunteer for a charity call Daybreak and we had thought that in the 21st century these sort views had long disappeared, it looks like we are wrong.

I am going to leave it at that as I am so angry at this moment in time.

Really, I thought it's a Internet forum about photography.

Tomorrow evening when I walk into a room full of smiling and happy adults with learning difficulties, I will have these stupid, uneducated and offensive comments spurring me on even more so.

I have couple of friends who are dyslexic and struggle with grammar. Also not everyone is educated to the same degree, however some people just enjoy posting without worrying about the grammar Nazis !

Thats an over-reaction Marat... bringing learning difficulties into it misses the point. If there are learning difficulties involved, then its for the person themselves to reveal if thats important for them, and if not then getting peoples feedback and reaction to how you come across can only be positive and helpful.

Looking at the almost total fluency in the OPs comments there is no obvious reason to anyone why he would not be able to understand the points made and apply them.
