Following on from a post in General Chat, which lens did you get when you bought your K200, was it the Mk1 or Mk2 18-55? Or did you go the whole hog and go for a 16-45?
Cheers, HG

My newly acquired K200D came with the SMC PENTAX-DA 1:3.5-5.6 18-55mm AL II (i.e. the Mark II lens).

I don't believe it makes much difference on 10 MP. The lens was specifically designed for the K20D's 14.6 MP. And the Mk I lens seems to work fine on the K10D.
Best regards
Terry

Mine came with the same as above, but i also snagged a deal on the tamron 70-300.
Would love to get a decent macro & w/a lens next. Just waiting on a 28-80mm that i'm going to keep specific for portrait work.

Whem I got my first DSLR (K110D) I went for the Tamron 70-300, then got a Pentax 28-80, makes a nice bag for all occasions covering everything from 18mm to 300mm, if you include the standard lens.
