my son tryed to up date the firmwire with low batterys and the camera crashed and will not power up now, any idears how it can be fixed or does it need to go back to pentax advice please

Hmmmm, it can be brought back from the grave, but he'll need to sell a leg or arm.

i think it time to cut and run and buy an a new camera pentax of cource

I'm not sure if your home insurance would cover a technical malfunction, but it may cover other forms of accidental damage.

a seperate question about the K100D
I was going through the menus......
I know what PC and PicBridge connections are....but what does PC-F mean????

PC-F is an alternative transfer method for PC in case the normal PC mode does not work (manual page 197).

Hi,

When I did almost this...same outcome but my excuse was battery connection rather than level, that is academic, they both died!

I sent mine to Johnsons Photopia Limited and got an estimate of £160
+ for a new main board...so I said no thanks and ebayed it for...£46 which I thought was ok...well it took the edge off.
