K10 compared to DL

This might seem like a stupid question........

The K10 is on offer at a very low price at the moment, and I am tempted to upgrade from my DL.

Obviosly the K10 is a better quality camera with many more features and better performance, but will I notice an increase in image quality at 10x8 from the 10mp sensor?

I have to say that my DL produces very nice images, but a larger viewfinder and faster operation of file buffer and playback would be nice.

There is a distinct and meaningful jump in quality. The viewfinder is better. The Li Ion battery is more convenient. The unlimited JPEGS at 3fps until the card is full is useful. It's weather resistant.

It's a better camera.

My DL was sold to make way for the K10D, the upgrade is definitely worth it especially at the price.

I liked my DL, but I liked the D more... my Dad has the D on long term loan but the K10D has been the one to encourage me to use film less..

If you can still get the K10 go for it. They represent a lot of camera for your money.
Pentax ist DL, K10D, MX, various lenses, Fuji s6500fd, Canon A630.
