I must say I havent been exactly inspired by the video offerings made with the new K-7 ... until I saw THIS.

Someone with obvious talent, just goes to show what video can do in the right hands. Even if a lot of users don't like the idea of having it in a DSLR body this guy is certainly loving it from what I can see.

You might like to know that the new Channel 5 station idents were all shot by Julian Whatley (DoP on Budweiser, Pepsi and Microsoft ads) on a Canon eos 5D.

Worth looking, too, at Sebastian Wober's work on link

Dslr have a real future in the video world no matter how much they seem to decried around here by folks who cant see their potential

The video you've pointed too, Mike, is an amateur one but clearly demonstrates what can be achieved with SLR lenses.

This is maybe not THE future but certainly a very viable alternative one.

You probably need to turn the music down too.

I have to admit that the image quality does seem to be very impressive.

Now they just need to get the AF working.

Diego is a very gifted photographer. His control of lighting might not match Benjikan, but it is nevertheless quite a few notches above average, as can be seen there: link

I'm not surprised by what he can accomplish with the K-7 video mode.
