K-7 Returned with faulty sensor

I had to return my K-7 today with a faulty sensor :( It's the same as has been reported . Shot a five minute video and then subsequent photo's shot immediately afterwards have the solid green stripe down the frame. It's most easily seen if you heavily underexpose a shot of a dark surface. The effect did disappear after a few shots. I was able to recreate the problem. Here's a resized image showing the issue I see: I do hope it's not a design issue and is simply a bad batch of sensors and that the replacement will be OK. I'd suggest anyone with a K-7 check theirs to ensure that it doesn't exhibit the same flaw.

I've been slack in getting back on this. Pentax Australia (CR Kennedy) repaired it free of charge. I've not noticed the problem since.
