K-5 mki mkii shutter button issues

One of my mki k-5 developed a fault with the shutterbutton in that the half press wouldnt focus until eventually it gave up altogether. I had this repaired under warrsnty, now the same issue is happening with my mkii. Is this a common issue or have I just been unlucky??..

I have not had any issues with mine Gary. Does the camera still focus when you use AF button? A long shot, but it could be a firmware bug issue? without teaching you to suck eggs, have you tried a camera reset to factory default settings? You are the first person I have heard raise this issue.

It happened to our *ist film camera and it's just a component failure.

I don't think it's something we should expect to go wrong, but sometimes things do. I would think just unlucky.

Maybe ive just worn it out. Will get in touch with JPS.
