Morning all,

Having spent a couple of days last week ambling around the south coast, I thought I would post some shots. The weather proved to be surprisingly good and I was quite pleased with some of the pictures I took. Would love to know what others think of these...?

I seemed to find myself using the Sigma 10-20mm more often than not on the K-7 and all of these bar the first come from that set up.

Number four and six for me. The latter being a very good candidate for a mono conversion. A much better candidate as number one which has to less interest in the sky to stand out as a B & W.
Best regards,

Martin.

Tim, Martin,

Many thanks for the comments . I think 4 and 6 are my favourites - 4 because it highlights the layers which make up the rocks, and 6 because it looks a little more 'dramatic'. I'll have a play in PSE to see what 6 looks like in B&W...

I've gone back and had another look to see what it is that struck me about 2 and 4. I think it's the flash of green amongst the mostly deep blue sea. It's especially noticeable in number 4 with that green strip of sea running down to the bottom right corner, nicely in line with the contours of the cliff, which for me adds a really perfect balance of colours. Really nice image!

Matt, you have two great photos with #4 and #6. #4 though, appeals to me so much more. I took the liberty of processin' your photo instead of talkin' about the things I like in it.
I seriously hope you didn't mind 'cos this photo has great potential, here it is:

No problem at all - it looks great in black and white!

Inspired by all of the above, I had a go at a B/W version of the sixth picture:

Those are both good in b&w, although I still prefer the color version.

PS: there's a big elephant in the water in #2. (thanks a lot, amin, i'm seeing things everywhere now!!)
