Love the spider, I think it's a great capture. Maybe would be a little better cropping to the right so that he's looking into a bit of space rather having his face centred.

Cracking shot of the little fella Clarky! I think Jonathan is right about the cropping.

that's a very cute picture Clarky, they are such little characters they lend themselves to a little narrative - great capture, well seen.
And how much do I want that lens!
How close did you have to get?
Nice fly too BTW

I do like your work. Both shots are clean and spot on.
Photography is a foot print for the future.

I have filed a report on that. The answer I got back was this:BTW i was going to replace the original version but i can't find the "post edit" function.

Hi Martin. You only have a few minutes before the edit/delete buttons go away the reasoning being is that someone may read/view the post.

This is what I answered:Hi Martin. You only have a few minutes before the edit/delete buttons go away the reasoning being is that someone may read/view the post.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for the answers. But.......,
If this rule applies to all treads, then after 20 minutes this is the result:
1#:
No possibility to repair broken or wrong links.( to articles or photograph's from hosting sites.)
2:
No possibility to correct bad grammar ( Not all of us write flawless English natively)
3:
No means to delete a "rude" post, placed in the heat of the moment, and better deleted out of courtesy to the rest of the readers.
Are you sure you like this scenario?
I really think you should give it some extra thoughts.
best regards,
Martin.
The smilies seem to have a bug. Now you notice that you have a button and all the smilies opened. You can not click a smilie directly, otherwise nothing happens. First click the button to close, then click again to open. Now you can place a smilie.Hi Richard,

Thanks Martin
20mins seems silly if you asked me.
The old forum had unlimited time for "post edits" if i am not mistaken.
And i can never recall a problem with it
And thanks for the tip on the smilies i think i have it working now. ::arrow: Yep good as new

I don't think it is the end of the world to not be able to edit posts as the whole point of a thread is people can see what is being talked about.
maybe an hour to notice typos or cool off and delete some swear words is enough

Clarky - that spider is a cracking shot - well done.
I think you can crop it even more. Perhpas also a bit at the top. Still a lot of room.

Cracking shot Clarky, but everyones talking rubbish your original post needs cropping on the left your second posting leaves to much space above the subject, plus it looks like youve left a dirty mark from the sensor showing
PS; how on earth do you get jumping spiders to stay still? I can only ever find them on boring brick or concrete walls and they leg it as soon as I get anywhere near

Get a Sigma EX DG 180mm Macro lens, you don't have to get too close.
