Perhaps the high street retailer is fighting back as Jacobs have also just opened a shop in Albion Street, Leeds.
They moved out years ago leaving big hole for Pentax users etc.

I think camera shops can only survive nowadays by having prices that are close to internet prices.
It's great news that Jacobs are expanding.

Might have a look in tomorrow, Sat 21st, if I get time after meeting my daughter for breakfast, meeting the lad's for beers and lunch, ( or more beers ), and then going on to watch Scotland beat Australia at Murrayfield, sound like a 'top' day.
It will be pissing rain though

Finally some competition and for the first time in a long time, there are Pentax cameras and lenses on sale in a specialist photography shop in the city.
And hopefully it will bring a bit of competition to the area!
