Well - your manual focussing skills are still pretty good! Some great people shots.

Mike, while it's difficult to say anything about your focusing speed, but the accuracy / sharpness is certainly unharmed (well, at least looking at the pictures you shared with us )
Kind regards,

I know how you feel Mike, I have been playing with some old Takumars of late and my bin ratio is about the same as yours. But its still fun using them and thats what counts I guess.
I am improving though and have just recently installed a Katzeye focus screen which helps.
BTW no.2 for me

Well I have decided that I need to practice my MF skills to up my hit rate so, after watching Day of the Jackal last night I have a plan.I know how you feel Mike, I have been playing with some old Takumars of late and my bin ratio is about the same as yours.
I have placed an Orange on a wall (couldn't find a watermelon) and am goint to practice at various distances until I get it right.
Or perhaps I will just use a AF lens instead ...
Thing is, I just prefer the IQ of the older lenses, the sharpness and contrast blows me away (when I get it right anyway).

Took an old manual focus lens I had never used before, big mistake as my manual focusing speed is well off since I got a few more AF lenses.
Anyway, a few that turned out ok.
