So did I: works a treat. Better than a cable release as there's no contact with the camera. But with the cable release you can lock the shutter open, I suppose.

K-M and K-X have no port for a cable so had to be ir remote, can still lock the shutter open in bulb just depends on how you set the camera settings, either hold it and will stay open or press once for open then again to close.

I wished you could fire these from behind the camera as well as from in front. You are effectively camera to subject or camera-subject-you. If from behind you could get subject-camera-you, meaning you could fire shutter further away from subject which is useful for wildlife photography. Just being picky though, these are a bargain and it's not their fault the sensor is only on the front of the camera.

Which camera do you have? You can fire from behind (as well as in front) with a K10D, K20D, K-7 at least.

Yes, I have a K-x. Big shame really - how much would that have added to the cost for such a useful feature?

I've got one too - the need to fire from in front of the camera is a bit of a pain but I'm thinking that if it was a real problem it wouldn't be hard to rig a small mirror in front of the IR sensor. I know I've managed to trigger mine from behind the camera while shooting through a window, the glass bounced enough of the IR signal to fire the shutter!

Waiting for mine to appear - it went in the post today [ Thanks Greytop ]
It really is a pity it has to be used from the front of the camera - but hey I think I can live with that
