Would you pay ten quid for an empty box?

Pardon my French in the title.

Steady with the language please...

I would if I wanted it, after all it's a free world and the seller is entitled to put out an auction starting at any price he or she wishes. We can then decide whether or not we wish to buy...doesn't particularly bother me to be honest!

Nope, but I'm not a collector and I don't have a mint ME...

I'm not sure whether cameras attract the "mint in the box, never been opened" mentality but this seller clearly thinks they do!

If I had a camera or lens with no box then yes I would ... because I know that I will get it back (plus a bit more) when I come to sell.

I will also pay more for a boxed camera/lens.

Yes the Box does make a difference. I love a pristine box.

It doesn't surprise me in the least. I have kept all the boxes I got with recent acquisitions and have an ME in it's box! Being an utter nerd I find the development of Pentax packaging mildly interesting!

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I'm impressed with anyone that would admit to something like that

Perhaps we're all thinking at last we can admit to it too! Perhaps...

Did you have to look that up or was it something you already knew?

He asks in a slightly worried tone.
