I haven’t used Image Synch for a while but now it won’t connect from an iPad with my K1. I have just downloaded the latest software update for the K1 but it makes no difference. Ideas anyone?

I have Image Synch on my mobile. I have tried to download onto my android tablet, no go. Is it possible that because I have it on my mobile, using the same e-mail address as the tablet it will only allow one download. The message I get is it has downloaded, but does not appear on the tablet. Sorry this is a bit rambling, the old mind isn't what it was.

I am not certain if this is relevant or not. I have just had the devil's own job installing the NHS track and trace app on my wife's Android phone. The app was shown as installed but was not on the phone anywhere. I finally resolved it by going via the Google Play store where the app was sitting waiting to be activated. Perhaps trying the Apple Store and Google Play store respectively, would resolve both of your issues. On the other hand...

I don't know about the I-Phone but with my Android Phones in order to connect with Image Sync on both my K70 and K1ii I had to do the following

Turn on the WIFI in the Camera
Shut Off the WIFI in the Phone
Turn the phone WIFI back on and select the WIFI PENTAX_****** (Note) You will have to hold the phone very close to the camera in order the camera's WIFI signal to override any other WIFI signals in the area
If it is the first time connecting you will have to enter the access code displayed on the rear screen
Start the Image Sync app and you should see the camera on the app

Hope this helps your connection issues through WIFI

I have no trouble at all with it on my Android phone. What does enrage me is that it immediately starts to download every last image on the card. It goes on and on and on and you can't stop it. If you just want the wi fi facility for one session make sure it's a clean SD card! Also, unlike the Flu card on the K3, you can't zoom into the live view image and micro-place the focus cursor by use of the arrow keys. All you get to use for focus positioning is the fat ball of your (very inaccurate) finger. For any sort of precision work, it's next to useless.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Have you tried a pointer/stylus rather than a finger? My wife uses one for her phone, she finds it much more accurate than a finger. Cheap and available from all the usual online market places.
