To ensure the best quality I use iBooks and send them images of approximately A4 and 300ppi.
The result is as good as any coffee table book.

I use aperture to layout my books. I've never had to think about it. It all just works.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I'm trying out TicTac Photo books at the moment, their software wont allow images at less than ideal resolution

I think you might need a Mac to make an iBook, but I will check and get back to you.

As my son Mike is an Architect they tend to work on Macs so we did the books on his machine. Not sure if there's a Windows version for PC, but I did hear that one was being prepared.

I know how to do all the resizing but don't know if it's done by the company when they produce the book.
