Colours and composition are lovely, and the textures are very inviting, giving a nice tactile feel to the picture.
I think it needs a touch more DOF as the tip of the beasties snout is a little too soft for my taste.
All in all tho, I think it's a lovely shot, very imaginatively lit..

Wonderfull shot, I love the color/lighting and the detail in the texture of his skin. the only thing that takes away from it for me is the light on the left of his face.
Slightly harsh lighting ime guessing? Sun?
He looks quite a photogenic lizzard (unlike the ones I tryed to shoot in spain!)
Have anouther shot!

No it's my other halfs, and the thing scares the living daylights out of me. Saying that she will quite happly sit there with it resting it's head on her lap, and it will walk around the house.

what a beauty. i was snapping lizards on sunday - took a lot of sitting still to get them to trust me, they do watch you all the time, but it's nice when they let you close. i even had some baby ones scampering about unsre whether to be afraid or curious.
anyway.... lovely shot, looks like you have a good model there, i'd love to have a lizard close at hand for portraits.

He is really cute, but boy he has 1 hell of a bite, which is why I tend to keep out of his way when he is on the rampage!!!!

Just tryed to get anorther shot of him tonight, and he was having none of it. And I just worked out what caused the light spot on the left is his red sun lamp.
