Green parakeets are a regular sight in parts of Surrey, but yours is a very colourful bird indeed.

That's an amazing bird! You've managed to extract bold colours from what looks like rather dull conditions.

However, it was not an hallucination; sitting there outside my kitchen window on the feeder was this wonderful gold mantled Eastern Gold Mantled Rosella Parakeet.
Sitting there on my work top was my trusty K3 with the 18-135 so I took it through the closed window and hoped for the best.
Mind you, we have had tropical weather here in Swansea (monsoon rain and muggy temperatures)
