I wasn't still half -cut

I had a couple last night but not that much that I was seeing funny things happening this morning like this fellah; at first I thought I must have enjoyed myself too much and be still be in a rare state of inebriation.

However, it was not an hallucination; sitting there outside my kitchen window on the feeder was this wonderful gold mantled Eastern Gold Mantled Rosella Parakeet.

Sitting there on my work top was my trusty K3 with the 18-135 so I took it through the closed window and hoped for the best.

Mind you, we have had tropical weather here in Swansea (monsoon rain and muggy temperatures)

Green parakeets are a regular sight in parts of Surrey, but yours is a very colourful bird indeed.

That's an amazing bird! You've managed to extract bold colours from what looks like rather dull conditions.

Belongs to someone (escapee?) Or has been recorded as it has a ring on the leg. You'd better hope it's not a racing pigeon in racing colours or the Queen will be after you ....
