I found a hotpixel on the sensor of my K10D. Should I send it to the service or not?

Hard to say really - it could be fixed under warranty but against that would be the delay whilst it was away.

I would try resting the CCD by removing the battery and then after 30 minutes or so booting the camera back up and trying again at a lowish ISO, such as 100 or 200. Maybe it will stop mis-firing.

If not then either clone the fault out of all your images, use a pixel mapping program on the images (there must be such a thing out there?) or indeed return the camera for repair.

Thank you John,
there is still warranty for my K10D. I found this hotpixel on old photos, even those when the camera was new. So I have to dicide, is this a real problem and is this case of warranty.

One hot pixel can be fixed more easily in PP. It's likely that you'll find that the sensor warranty doesn't cover fewer than 'x' hot pixels for that reason.

If it's any help, I find that when developing RAW files with Silkypix that the hot pixels are automatically mapped out
