Honeymoon Help!
In the Canary Islands they get 35% of te annual rainfall in Novemeber.
Flights to the Caribbean tend to be day flights - Cape Town is overnight so wear the kids out during the day and they are gone for the flight!
What does your other half like? Animals, scenery, beaches, mountains, remote areas, wine? Tell me and I'll try to find a couple of persuasive pictures.

In Canarias you'll have better beaches I think, Madeira is greener and colourful.
You can also put a bit of self interest in it. Go to a stunning place you'd like to photograph. Of course you're not taking the gear now, but in a few years you have the best excuse to suggest going there again, very romantic of you...
Kidding.

It is empty, mainly because it was a work day ...
There are many more like that or if you want the commercialised beaches they can be found too.

Why is africa disappearing fast?
Everybody should see the great wild animals of Africa in their natural habitat; it is an experience like no other. But the sooner the better. Animals and habitat won't be around much longer. When I was young in Kenya rhinos were two a penny. Now, they have almost all gone.
Bill Gates should stop giving money to Cambridge colleges and buy a large tract of Tanzania instead (perhaps the Selous reserve), fence it securely, and create a land ark.

Its just a case of finding things for the children to do I guess. What about Disney World

I can vouch for South Africa (Especially Franscheok, beautiful place)
I know the place like the back of my hand. Where have you stayed there?
Excellent restaurants - at sensible prices with fresh food.
Great walks in the mountains - on the pass running south to the coast is a one day walk up a mountain and back. Take a picnic for the summit and you get scenery, flora, wildlife - animals and birds and no crowds.
And there is a great diamond dealer there - who knows me well.

The Caribbean is good that time of year and the ship entertainment crew will take the kids off your hands.
The change in scenery from day to day is varied and prices are all-in except for shore tours.

Have a real serious look at S Africa, combine, good scenery, beaches, food, relaxation, nice people and value for money.
If you want to be persuaded - you could give me a call. There is too much down there to put in posts here. My daughter was 7 when we first took her 12 years ago and we have never looked back. Others we have met out there have had 2, 3, 4, 5 year olds with no problems.

You could do a fantastic family safari to either Kenya or Tanzania with a few days R&R in Zanzibar or on the coast afterwards.
La Palma in the Canaries has greenery, mountains, dolphins, peace and quiet, but only a couple of black beaches. We have been there in November. it rained at night but was lovely during the day. If you go try staying on the West side of the island as it is drier warmer ans just all together nicer.
Florida is an idea, though it is the tail end of Hurricane season, which would also affect the Caribbean. If you want to go that way what about Cuba before the yanks get there?
Arizona and New Mexico will be good in November - Grand Canyon, wild life, mountains, desert lots to see and do.
Southern California - enough amusement parks to keep the kids happy with scenery, wild life and warmth.

You've got a predicament, if you go to a nice place with great vistas. You'll love it, the wife will too, and the kids will be bored to tears.
Wherever you go, find something for the kids to enjoy.
I might have a look at canary islands , most possibly fuerteventura as its good weather in november, not too far away, cheapish and with my budget could afford to go all inclusive and 5* hotel probbaly.
