Hi Strum

Welcome to the Forum and yes you will find a very friendly bunch here..

Hope you enjoy the Pentax gear, I suspect you'll love the K-5.

My Girlfriend and I both enjoy photography and use Pentax kit and we live either side of Leicester so if you ever fancy a beer...

Thanks all, I do like a friendly forum.. and a few in the area too

I am looking forward to the K-5II, its on for delivery today.

had a little play with the k-01 last night, instantly surprised how quick it focuses in low light, loving the 40mm, I had the 25mm pancake on Oly and 40mm STM on Canon but this is something else.

its looking like from the get-go I will be able to get the 50-135 which is a bit of a relief, then I have just got to sort out a flash and the switch to Pentax is complete. (until my eyes start oogling up those lush Pentax primes anyway)

Hi strumstrum and welcome

I feel you should be warned in advance about the highly toxic coatings applied to certain Pentax lenses (the Limiteds and star lenses in particular) - it quite easily rubs off and cause a disease known as LBA. Many of us have it and its incurable

Enjoy the forum

this will not please the Wife at all, being into music I already own several instruments to feed my GAS addiction..I guess getting a dose of LBA will not be taking up as much room as GAS and I can hide the symptoms a little better so I might be okay
