Here at last! - DA* 60-250
Ta, that looks very promising...
I'm interested in corner/edge sharpness at f/4. Any chance you may be able to take a few shots to show this when you have a spare moment?
Thanks for sharing your observations so far btw

The Tripod collar is a lot different to what I am used to and has some useful features.
The collar itself stays attached to the lens and there is no way to remove it, but the 'foot' itself is removable so it is a lot less cumbersome than say the one on my Sigma, the downside I suppose is that it could be easy to lose, but a lot better for storing in your bag etc.
The best feature of the new tripod collar though is that it clicks into place in every 90 degree position, brilliant for swapping to portrait quickly when mounted. It's one of those simple things that makes you think why it's not been done before!
Unfortunately we have a lot to do in the shop today, and the weather is the best we've had for ages so not getting much chance for further testing. Just mucking around with it though it does seem to have very good image quality and better colours etc than the Sigma, just not as quick on the focussing (but obviously much quieter!)
Will hopefully have a better play after the shop is closed, try some tracking shots etc.

How sharp compared to the pre-production ones?
And to the 50-135?
