50MM V 55MM Prime

A quick topic.
A pentax 55mm F4 is £380 and a 50mm F1.4 is half the price-there is only 5mm in it.
Why?

The DA*55 has better optics also newly desgined they say, better coatings, weather sealed and SDM.
Also the DA*55 is quite a bit sharper certainly when you stop it down a stop, the bokeh is so good as the same with both lenses.

Sorry Chris,
that is because I was only talking about the DA*55.
Typed it just a bit too fast

Bokeh is how nice/smooth the lens renders the a point of light in the out of focus area. To put it simpler, how smooth the out of focus blur is.
