Help with lens mount

Posted 12/09/2010 - 14:39 Link
Hello there,

Recently I bought a Sigma Micromacro YS 100mm f/2.8 lens thinking that is is in Pentax PK mount. Unfortunately in turns out that the mount is not PK though it looks a bit similar. I post some photos of the lens and the mount here hoping someone would be able to let me know what mount is it. Thank you.

No idea. Is it a breech lock like Canon FD?.... does the
rear cap not have anything stamped in it?

Have a close look at any good shots of Tamron adaptall mounts
on ebay see what's similar.

Thanks for your response.

This is not Canon FD, doesn't look like it either. It doesn't has anything stamped on. I also know the Tamron adaptall but this is not that, too

Thanks anyway.

I upload another photo with the mount hoping it to be named.

With that notch being more in the middle of the bayonet, to me it looks more like the Konica in your list, Algi

Just had a quick look at one of my Minolta MCs and can confirm it's not one of those. The notch is in the wrong place and the flanges are in a different position relative to the actuating lever.

It says MA on the rear of the lens. A quick google brought this up:

Does that look like your mount ?

I just tried putting MA EE.22 into Google and I got:

The YS was actually Sigma's interchangeable mount system. Try saving a search on ebay for YS Pentax mount also YS M42 one might come up.

One sold here

Some good info there on the buktus site. Looks like it will
need the Pentax/Practica mount.

The ebay link is the same supplier I linked to. I didn't think of looking
if they had others for sale.

That looks to be the correct mount, but it might need a bit of work
doing on it to hold the pin in if the lens hasn't got a manual
switch. Possibly glue it in or put a piece of cable insulation
on it from behind.

Edit: Gareth did you ever get that M42 adapter with the
flange and if so does it work? I could do with one for
a Yashica 50mm f/1.7

Thanks, I might order one.

Generally Yashica's are sharp especially wide open and very well made. Yashica owned Tominon/Tomioka. Their f/1.2's go for £300+

The f/1.7 can't be put back together if you modify the pin with a piece of insulation, so it's either glue it or get an adapter with a flange.

First I've got to get it back together. It's a bit like a Rubik's Cube

Solved.

Yes, it’s been 9 years since your post- but for others who have stumbled upon this post like I did, trying to sort out what this mount is- the guy who said it looked like a Konica was correct. I have 3 and I tried it on my Konica TC. It went right on. I assume all 3 have the same mount. They’re recent buys, so idk. Thanks to the op and good luck to anyone else dropping by!
