Help with K7

Sure I am being a very stupid camera owner but I can't get the menu Rec mode 1 to function, I wish to change the Jpeg settings but they are all unlit, other pages seem to work but not the one I need. What is it I am not doing?

My guess is that you are in "Green Square" on the mode dial. If so, switch to another mode.

knew it would have to be a simple answer, never though to look at the dial was just working through the hand book. Will go see if that works.
