Odds on it will hit 300+, the word is out that this + SDM 50-135 is razor sharp an sooooooo much faster AF.

That seller is awkward.
A friend in Norway wanted to bid and have it delivered direct to him using Royal Mail International Signed for Service which offers £500 compensation level. He emailed the seller who categorically refused, insisting on using Royal Mail Airsure. What is the difference to him? Nothing ...
The friend may bid but will have to have it delivered to me and the I'll send it on - who wins? Royal Mail ... who looses? my friend and possibly the seller.

The seller is probably making sure that his package is trackable so that he doesn't fall foul of eBay's and PayPal's rules on proving he has delivered.

I think part of it is to not let the scammers get away with it. One of the (thankfully not so common) scams on ebay is to order something, wait for it to arrive, then complain to PayPal it never arrived and get your money refunded. Yes, the seller can then claim from Royal Mail, but it still sticks in your throat that the buyer has got both your goods AND your money.hy? What would ebay/paypal do if lost in transit? Plus claiming from Royal Mail is a right PITA, we had to do it once for a Apple iSight 'lost' in transit to Australia. Especially annoying because it was weeks after the iSight had been discontinued, and ebay prices were triple the RRP.

I've been through this with Royal Mail. Yes, signed for proves someone has signed for it, but if it doesn't arrive it doesn't prove you sent it, not for PayPal anyway. They require a trackable service, which is Airsure or some other carrier such as DHL. You cannot track in transit a signed for package.Why? What would ebay/paypal do if lost in transit? For low cost items this doesn't really matter, but for high cost items it becomes a serious issue for the seller.
