It's Okay...I down-sized the file to 800...it took just fine.

Glad it worked out OK.
As a general point, there's no advantage to uploading huge files as the quality difference will not show on screen, it will take longer to upload and may not upload at all.
I use 1000 pixels on the longest side, 72ppi, sRGB and a file size of 200-400K.
