polariser filter

I am not sure f it really matters but I would always use the Polariser first (nearest to the lens) and then the ND filter.
The only time I would change this is when I would have a grad filter (going from clear to Colour or ND) as any movement with the polariser will also move the grad filter and you will not get the desired effect.
Other than that I am not really sure it matters.
Others may be able to explain it a bit better but that's the way I would use it, also it is very rare that I would use both filters together.

Pentax K-5 with D-GB4 Grip, to many lenses to mention by now (serious LBA by now), TC's, Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW, Manfrotto 028 & Redsnapper RS-283 with various Heads plus various Camera Clamps (I collect them). i have just read a few landscape books where the "expert" has used both a grad nd and a polariser ...so was pondering on it

some people use both a polariser and an nd filter at the same time which goes on the lens first?
