If you replaced the optical viewfinder with an electric viewfinder that would remove the need for the mirror and you would end up with mirrorless camera instead of a DSLR!but there's no reason why a dslr couldn't have an off centre electronic viewfinder also.
Not saying it's particularly smart or sensible mind

All photography prices are going up. I keep getting mails from retailers' websites stating "beat the price increases - buy now!".
I expect the K3II replacement to be priced significantly above the K3II when it's was released.

Best thing is though the k3ii is not due to be replaced yet and reading inbetween the lines of what me chris and the rep were talking about it could be a very interesting camera

Maybe I'll keep on saving for a while longer then, though the current K3ii price is very tempting

That is a good deal, but by the time I have paid postage and import duties and VAT on that it won't be such a bargain. And the Dutch revenue will definitely want their cut, and charge me for the privilege of paying them too.
Based on today's exchange rate it would be €845 before taxes and postage for the Adorama offer, compared to €823 for the body alone at SRS, no taxes, small amount of postage. Plus the guarantee would be good from SRS, not so from Adorama.
I don't need a grip either.
The body is €949, or €999 for the silver version, here.
I think I'll keep saving and see what the next big thing is. Hopefully it arrives before Britain leaves the customs union .

I have no idea Stu. Really I don't.
When it finally arrives I may change my mind and go for something else completely.
I am hoping my K5II hangs on long enough. It is decidedly long in the tooth now and one reason for considering going for a K3II now, rather than waiting. If His Nibs wasn't now retired and on a low pension (getting lower all the time as the pound plummets) I would get a K3II and maybe trade it in if TNBT turned out to be really spectacular, but I don't think I can afford to do that now.
Who knows I may give up all together and make do with a smartphone if I can't get my Mojo back and get some decent photos again instead of the dross I have produced of late.

video capabilities that look as though they belong in 2017What would you like to see lol
Call me easily pleased or what have you, but I'm totally satisfied with Pentax's stills ability. Sure I'd love to see their AF be a bit smarter, and give a hope of some focus tracking ability at my children's sports day races etc, but I'm really impressed with the Pentax stills capabilities already.
What I'd like to see now is an attempt to polish the video package they already have. Notice I'm not even mentioning 4K etc, as I think they just need to get their basics right.
Returning mechanical stabilisation during video seems a must, even if it's off by default and has a warning about possible noise when you want to turn it on. Sensor based SR works in video on Panasonic, Olympus and Sony cameras now, and Pentax had this working on the K-5 and K-7 models pre Ricoh:
Upping the video quality bit rates from their current 2012 settings would be useful also. With the new chips on the modern cameras I'm sure we can do better now than we did 5 years ago.
So yeah, sort that and we'll be onto a winner.
What do I expect though? Probably a K-3 with the new sensor of the KP and the focussing of the K-1. Maybe a touchscreen if they're being daring. And the same old video package I expect it will be a great mini K-1 camera and a worth K-3 successor.

You really wouldn't want a touch screen unless it can be turned off, so there is no point in having it in the first place. A touch screen only device (AKA a mobile phone) is already available for those that prefer it complete with video capabilities. Can you imagine a Pentax camera being yet another Android phone which appears to be your wish?
Just imagine having to go into touch screen menus before you take a photo or video to set up various options. A Spotmatic would be many times faster to use and produce better results with a nice new roll of Ektachrome.
