Been watching a Sigma 105mm macro on Ebay for the last week and remembered it 6 mins after the auction ended.
Gutted.

At least it wasn't 'sniped' by a dealer at a bargain price.

I've been browsing the forum for quite a while but have never really had a need to post a comment. That is until reading Mike P's post. I was the guy who had the winning bid on the 105mm.

I only came across it with about 30 mins to spare and a couple of glasses of wine to encourage me to bid (it was Saturday night after all).

I thought I'd at least let you know that it will be going to a good home.

The seller tells me it's already on its way so I should be able to try it out over the weekend.

By total coincidence a friend was the highest bidder only a week ago for the same lens with a Cannon fit, only he paid a fair bit more. I was most chuffed to let him know that once again Pentax rules!

Crazy low price

Enjoy the lens, when the weather / light is bad, I think about macro shots.

Those guys at Sigma really think of everything don't they?

What sensor and mount do 'Cannon' have? Obviously Cannon have diversified from Gas Heaters to cameras

OK, so when is the best time to end an ebay auction? (I have two M lenses - 135/3.5 and 35/2.8 to sell, so we're not talking large value here.)

Best night is usually a Sunday evening around 8pm, that is when I used to finish all my mobile phones as Friday, Saturday most people are out and a lot do not look on weekdays.
Sunday evening is pretty quiet for TV as well so a lot of people go looking through Ebay for something to do.

At the moment I suggest not between 8-9pm because Top Gear is on
