Best night is usually a Sunday evening around 8pm, that is when I used to finish all my mobile phones as Friday, Saturday most people are out and a lot do not look on weekdays.
LOL, I guess that reflects badly on me, since I am usually in on a Friday and Saturday night!

Sunday evening is pretty quiet for TV as well so a lot of people go looking through Ebay for something to do. At the moment I suggest not between 8-9pm because Top Gear is on
Hmm, I wonder if any Top Gear viewers have heard of DVRs

But thanks for the tip. Firstly to know when to get the most number of people possible for an auction where I am selling, and secondly for the times when it is best to bid because there will be less people looking!

Richard
Yup, I have one myself but only use it to record programmes that I am not actually in to watch ... A lens on Ebay wouldn't get me away from Top Gear.

Well, maybe a couple would .....

Personally I use an auto bidder and once I have set my max price I can just leave it until the auction has finished.
I just forgot on this occasion .. sods law.

If it's not being too cheeky could you give me an indication of what you paid for the 105mm macro as I'm looking for one myself. The least I have seen them for on the net is £269.99 and up. Is it the 105mm macro EX DG model? CHEERS Vic.

Look at the first post, it has a link to the Ebay auction.
From the look of the box it is not the DG model but afaik that really isn't that important, especially considering the final price.

Edit: typo due to typing in the dark.

Thanks Mike-P. I had seen that one but it is the EX and not the EX DG. Ah well one day I might get lucky. CHEERS Vic.

I don't think the DG coating is all that important to be honest, I have a used Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX and a friend of mine has a new EX DG.
From what I can see there is no difference whatsoever. I believe it is put on to cut down on flare which wouldn't be much of a problem with macro anyway .. would it?
