What that means is that something non-Pentax but of interest to the Pentax community can be linked to, but not posted in the forum as an image. A link takes us somewhere else, to another website. If it's relevant, that's fine. If it's an advert for Nikon DSLRs then it's not.

We should all know by now that the site is intended for Pentax images and discussion, but common sense always prevails. If you're selling your Pentax kit you just might take pictures of it on your iPhone, for example. That would be allowed as a picture.

If there's anybody who has any real doubts as to what it's all about, then by all means PM me.
Best regards, John

Somebody somewhere is going to ask what happens if we put a Pentax lens on a Canon body, but I'll leave that one to common sense!
I think its been mentioned before John. if it was a film body then I dont suppose it really matters, after all we wouldn't object to anyone posting images taken with a Pentax lens attached to the front of a shoe box.

If the point of posting such an image is to discuss the lens (rather than using the lens as an excuse to discuss a Canon camera), there surely isn't a problem? For example, if someone starts a thread extolling the virtues of the FA43LTD, it would be great to see images from that lens from any source. FF digital images in particular would be of interest, giving us an insight into what would be possible, should Pentax-Ricoh go down the 35mm digital route.

I seem to remember on the US forum, someone had a very interesting thread about mutilating his FF DSLR to take Pentax lenses, and posted the results with the SMC M 50mm f1.2. That sort of thing should be of interest to any Pentax lens fan.

I admired the photo on flickr before I came across this thread here. Excellent photograph. K.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
