You have a lot to answer for !

I have not ridden a bike for 28 years, and yet today after reading your post , I have spent my time deciding whether to go for a Monster 696 or 1100 , or maybe a SportsClassic 1100 GT.

My second and last bike was a new 550 Honda in 1980, and it was a close contest between that and a second hand Ducati 750 GT.

I was a poor student at the time and went with the Honda as I needed reliability, but have ever since had a hankering after owning a Ducati.

Erm, the guy on the bike in this link is me, sorry!

Oh and the bike's a Suzuki DRZ400, I get paid to ride it and all the kit's provided too!
Cheers, HG

Peter, the Monster 1100 is supposed to be brilliant...as is the 696.

I've often thought how good it must be to get paid for riding a bike round each day. Is there a lot of competition for jobs at your place then?

Yes, too much!

I was lucky some 22 years ago and stuck with it. The only downside is the increase in Kami Kazi private hire cars on the road!

I'd keep that quiet, even though High Royds is now a desirable housing establishment.

Mind, when the weather's better you've no excuse for a moorland road shoot with the bike.
