Focus magic

I have just tried using this program on some of my aerial shots, and I have to say I am absolutely astounded by the results! I have been looking for a while to find some way of improving my aerial pictures, in fact I was going to try and create a lens profile to compensate for the windows, but I think I have found the solution with this program.

I think I will be buying this once the trial period is up.

You can also set the angle of the blur, which should be
handy with shots from a moving plane.

I think the angle of the blur is just for motion blur, which I don't have a problem with from altitude. It's the affect of focus that seems to be the main problem, and this program seems to be the solution to that. There is of course still the ongoing problem of haze, which I still haven't solved satifactorily. I am hoping an IR camera will give me good results, albeit in mono, when it's too hazy to use the K5.

I have been using it for a while now .. about the best sharpening tool I could find.

Oh, and were you landing the Space Shuttle at the time ?

Just paid for it, I wish I had come across it earlier, as I have hundreds of images to reprocess now!

Do you use any other sharpening as well, Mike, or just this program?

Looks very interesting, thanks for posting. I use Elements and I can get some grainy/noise from sharpening - is it better controlled?

From the limited experimentation I have done so far, it doesn't appear to introduce any noise at all.

It's an excellent little plug in. I don't think AG's shot is unnacceptably soft, given it's a 100% crop, but look how much extra detail you can pull out.

Nice good little plug in you got here. I think there are a lot of plug ins like these out there. Topaz has some very nice misfocused plug in that can help you out also.
