Five in a row: Kris' (womble's) go
A bit late but loving number 1! Have a very similar image from years ago, taken on the steps of the casino in Monaco but with a non-Pentax (and rubbish) camera.
Did you by any chance take one from the other side and facing the opposite direction? The ball is blocking a lot of interesting subjects and it would have been interesting to see the inverse of that image.
The backside of that thing is just a blank disk, it is a big circular slightly dished mirror. The other way around would have had the harbour and Sydney Opera house in it!
Thanks, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

A great start to the five.

I stared long and hard at the first shot before twigging that it was a reflection, rather than a composite. Great idea, but to my eye the contrasting elements don't really work as a whole. If we all carried giant mirrors, as well as tripods, the creative potential would be huge.
I like both versions of shot #2, but agree with those who feel the subtle colour adds a certain something. Either way, its an image that's beautifully simple and very striking.
Best regards

I like the fact that the snow is almost washed out, excepting a small amount of detail around the animal's feet. You have also managed to keep detail in the texture of the coat as well.
I’ve no choice being here but why on earth would a bloke come out in this weather and point that at me?
Doesn’t he know the pub down the road is open and the log fire is lit?
Great work.
Best regards
This is my favourite so far. Like a silhouette, but with detail.
