This lens is all I ever use now K', and every shot I have taken since March 2010 has been taken with this lens. It is so sharp and beats any zoom lens into a cocked hat. This combined with some shoe-leather zooming gives great results.

Best wishes,

IMHO the quality of these pics is due to the person taking the pictures, not especially the lens.
I wouldn't say no to owning the lens of course, but I couldn't restrict myself to one lens like PaulyR has done.

I was not too happy with roots. To me it has a film like appearance but that’s not the issue. I took the time to pic a focal point and I can't see that in the final result!
Overall, the lens is excellent and with the exception of my 100mm macro, it's the first time in a long time since I've been out without a zoom on the K7. What a refreshing difference. I'm seriously thinking of doing a trip without zooms on the K7 (Sept to Dec).
This lens is not mine; it's a gift for someone back in the UK. I'm sorely tempted to buy another as a keeper.
I can see your point Pauly. I would add that it's a worthwhile investment due to its capabilities.
Best regards.
