Firmware update on K3ii

I just did it. All went well until the bit where it was supposed to say 'COMPLETED' It didn't. The screen on my camera just went blank. I left it for a couple of minutes and then thought what the hell and switched off the camera and removed the card. It all worked perfectly. Has anyone else had this happen? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? CHEERS Vic.

Aren't you the lucky one Derek. So none of the squeaky bum, brown underpants, problems for you then.
In the past I've done many firmware updates on different cameras and always there has been the "COMPLETED" screen. It's just this once it didn't happen and I wondered if it happened to anyone else. IT SEEMS IT DID. So lets hope we've all been to the laundry and got our underpants sorted and get on with life.

The COMPLETED message lingers for not even a second. Keep your eyes glued to the screen. The K1 update handles that much better.
I am pleased to say that the bug in the Menu system I reported when the K3ii was first released and which Ricoh acknowledged has gone away. We shouldn't have had to wait this long for bug fixes.
I've not used my K3ii since acquiring the K1. Tiny isn't it?
