K1 low light high ISO performance

Morning All.

Not had the K1 long and gave it a decent test Thurs and Fri nights with Badgers and low available light, this was with a Sigma 100 - 300 F4 @ 280mm ISO 25600 1/50 sec F4 mounted on a monopod and straight from the camera.

The lighting was from a low powered LED battery light mounted above a shed, would guess no more than 80 lumens, the sort of unit available around £25 in a DIY store.

It looks sharp enough in the right places, and smooth enough in the others !

Can you clarify, this is a cameras-jpeg? And was the cameras noise reduction active and applied to this image? If so then it may be a bit aggressive as there's quite a lot of smearing in places. Perhaps a lighter setting would be ok?

It's very good considering the ISO and light conditions, and a good demo of the performance. I find the white balance too warm, I think it might look cleaner with a cooler colour balance. Looks like it might have needed the tungsten setting.... ?

Hi Nigel,

This was a raw image, then jpeg for uploading here, the camera has high noise reduction applied so i will look to prob reduce this to med, I agree re the white balance, and will tweak slightly.

Thanks for the comments
