P most of the time with Aperture on the rear e-dial, Shutter on the front e-dial and ISO on the front e-dial when OK button is pushed.
Green button makes camera decide.
Hmmmm
I feel I'm in full control.

Generally I use Av.
For Non A-series lenses, for macro or portraits I use M.
And I use the "Little Running Man" (as my son calls it) when I want to force faster shutter speeds and continuous AF - it saves diving into the menu system on the K100D for action shots.
Cheers

Always "AV"!...A friend of mine ,who is an excellent photographer, always used to say,,,Pentax people use aperture, Canon people use shutter speed!..don't ask me why!..
However, the paths were continued and until the advent of the multi-mode camera Canon, Konica and others stayed with shutter priority and Pentax stayed with aperture priority.
And that is where the comment has its origins, even, apparently, being remembered some 35+ years later.
This [for me] evolved to a procedure [very quickly]: look at the scene and what you are about to take and set the speed, the eye to the view finder and from then on its all abou the left hand to both focus and set the aperture - hence AP without looking away!
Today with my K10D I tend to use P and get the benefit of using both front and rear dials to override OR when on long lenses its AV to ensure I get the DoF for pictures of wildlife.
Interestingly I leave the ISO set at 400 and only once ever changed it, in fact I have forgot it can be changed. Again a hangover from the film days.
