Faux Leather Case for Pentax MX-1

This week I took delivery of a nicely made case for my favourite compact. The camera fits perfectly and the soft interior shouldn't rub the black paint off (wait a minute, isn't that a bad thing considering how the camera was marketed?) It has a belt loop or you can use the shoulder strap which has quick release metal fittings. Delivery was quite swift, considering it had to come from China.
It won't, of course, last as long as a real leather affair but it has a pleasingly vintage look and feel to it, rather like the case belonging to my old pre-war Zeiss Ikon.

That's a nicer design than the one I managed to find.

It amazes me how low the price is and how quick the delivery from China and Hong Kong.
Best regards, John

I've had a chance to use it now and it's very nice. The camera slips into and out of the case easily which sits securely on a belt. The strap is fine but would benefit from a non-slip, wider shoulder-pad which would make it more comfortable. But that would be a luxury.

I like not having it attached to the camera when the latter is in use. The one I bought for my Olympus EPL1 looks nice and is well made but jams when slipping the front off and gets in the way.

I love this little camera more and more every time I use it.
Best wishes,

Andrew
