Why not try to sell here first - you may get more than £200. If you do, then go back to the shop and negotiate the K20D down from the £600.

I sold mine on ebay with Grip for about £350 so you should get a bit more.

Park cameras price for a K20D body is £569 ... if you sold your K10D on here for £200 (which you should do easily) you would still be £30 better off. Tesco are doing the K20D kit for £599 so you could even sell the K10D for £200, the MKII kit lens for £60 (ish) and be even better off.

Hi RIchard I would try and sell the K10 on here or else where. If you or you know someone traveling from an airport with a Dixons shop on site ask them if they have a Samsung GX 20 in store and you will save a fair bit, I paid £292 including delivery for the camera good luck.

I'm waiting for a call from Camkins £600 in Cambridge and Digital Depot £560 in Stevenage to see if they can come up with a better deal. It would be easier if i can do a trade in. (can't go into too much detail why, Politics).

Just to give an objective answer to the original question, I think that £200 for a trade-in is very fair. After all the retailer will have given you a K20d and will not see his profit until he has sold the K10d which he will need to check and warranty then pay VAT on any profit.
I'm not disagreeing with anyone else's opinion but I would personally say that I would not expect much more from a trade. However, I would put your for sale on the forum for £200 (which you should get) then buy from Amazon here (don't buy the Simply Electronics one - get the one direct from Amazon on the right for £530). This would save you £70!
I know the trade in is easier but is it really worth that much to you?

Over the past few weeks the average price of a K10+18-55 on ebay has been £331. Considering the markup shops apply, to me £200 would seem fair.

£600 for a K20 that's a heck of a lot! I know yr getting £200 off but £600 is extremely steep
Best bet is to buy the K20 secondhand and sell the K10 on here. You'll save yourself a heck of a lot of money!

Don't think 200 quid is bad for a trade in, also handy to be able to collect from the shop
Not sure they are a Pentax pro dealer so you might only get 12 months warranty instead of 24
Was it the one in Rose Crescent? not so keen on their other shop opposite Kings, not sure why though
Cheers

I am now in the position to get a K20D ( body only) but i have to trade in the K10D (body only). A local Cambridge Shop can get me one for £600 and offer me £200 for mine would you say this is a fair price.
