Both are reasonable brands. I also use the ones from 7Dayshop. I find I have to clean the heads a bit more on the 875 but other than that, they work just as well. After all if you are going to get fakes, you may as well get them cheap.

Jet-tec seem to be the ones that get good reviews. I tried Inkrite ones on my old printer but didn't find them anything like as good as the original Epson ones.
I've just got an R800 so I think I'm going to give the Jet-tec ones a go with that - either that or one of the continuous ink systems.

I have been using the compatibles from Phoenix Direct for some time and never had a problem . I consider the price to be excellent and the service second to none. Its free delivery too. I have also started buying my photo paper from them as well, and I get excellent results.

FWIW, I bought some Jettec cartridges from Picstop.co.uk for use on an old Epson Stylus Photo 870.
To be honest, I can't tell the difference from the original Epsons - which I was very surprised by! Colour was still spot on.
(But for long term prints, I tend to use a print service and get real photographic prints )

I have an Epson R800 and use Jet Tec ink from Premier ink supplies and get great results and they print more 'photos per cartridge. As to 7day shop I have bought many items from them in the past and will most likely do so in the future, but I did have a bad experience some years ago with their ink in my old 'photo 750. It leaked like mad. I cleaned it out and replaced the ink with another make and it worked fine again until it eventually gave up the ghost. When I complained to 7dayshop they refunded my money with no quibble. 7dayshop is a very good and reliable retailer but I don't like their inks.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

Hi,
I have used a variety of 3rd party cartridges for my Epson printers and would second the (apparent) general opinion that Jettec are the best of the bunch.
The only annoying thing is the chips on them. With most 3rd party and Epson original cartridges you can reset the chips using a chip resetter (about ten quid) which allows you to refill the cartridge or use a continuous ink flow system. the Jettecs dont reset with these but then they do last considerably longer than most third part cartridges.
The actuall print quality will of course depend on the paper you are using with the inks too. If any of you have one nearby my local Netto has been selling some high quality Ilford photo papers at very good prices.
