Emailing photos direct from elements 9

This used to be really easy. Drag and drop the photos into the elements email section, they were resized and sent via your default email programme.

A recent update seems to have changed this in 2 ways
1.Adobe want you to send them through their message system but will not let me register for the system.
2. You have to register your preferred email address in elements if not using the above This does not work

Any ideas?

I usually resize them using Light Image Resizer, and send them as attachments. I've never used elements for it.

It was always easier from the elements catalogue. A group could be made into an album and then emailed

OK. Not something I ever tried, or knew you could do tbh. I select the photos to resize, do a bulk resize and send them either as an attachment, or via Dropbox or One Drive.
I now have PSE 14, but only on the desktop. As I am currently on the laptop I can't check if it is available .
