East Mids Clubs..any experiences?

There are quite a lot of good camera clubs in your area. I suggest you go into the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain website and look in the section headed Federations.
Two federations list clubs in the area you are interested in - The North Midlands Federation which covers Notts, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire and The Midlands Counties Federation which includes all the clubs in the West and East Midlands including Leicestershire.
Camera clubs vary from excellent to downright diabolical so if you pick one to visit in your immediate area give it a try a couple of times before signing up.
The better camera clubs are go ahead and embrace all types of photography. They tend to be the ones with the largest memberships.
