Mrs A and I will be on holiday in Garlieston, Galloway the week of 18-24 October.

Mrs A is planning on a trip to a shop in Newton Stewart one of the days to do some sewing leaving me a Bob the dog free for a few hours.

If anyone is in the general vicinity and might me able to arrange a meet at relatively short notice that week please give me a shout?

Hopefully, weather permitting, a trip to take some nights shots will take place Bill

Thanks Neil, we parked up in a layby and watched the kites back in June. This time I will be prepared for them!

There is a decent waterfall on the A712, next to the car park for Murray's Monument. Then follow the road up to Loch Clatteringshaws, & park in the forest drive on the right, just opposite the bottom of the dam. You can [hopefully still can] walk to base of dam. Also good shots of the river & the old road bridge, from that area.

Kirkcudbright is ok if the trawlers are in [I've not been there for a few years so not sure if they still operate out of there.]
